torin-sifan has established itself as the leading producer of Direct Drive fans in Europe. This is based on a production pedigree which dates back to the early 1960’s when we first started producing these fans at our facility in the UK.
All of the metal components that make up the Direct Drive fan are produced within our press shop, including side housings, wraps and of course the impellers prior to arriving at the assembly process where impellers are balanced and the products are engineered together.
Our range includes all of the Industry standard sizes and motor power combinations. However, in addition to this, and a key feature of the services torin-sifan offers it’s customers, is our ability to also offer numerous non-standard sizes. Our hugely flexible CNC punching production cell, allows us to produce a whole variation of housing sizes to ensure we meet your specific needs.
This ensures that we optimise our products to suit your application, rather than you having to compromise your application to suit our product.

EC Direct Drive Fans
torin-sifan is committed to innovation in order to maintain our market position and to ensure we remain a key partner to our customers by continually adding value to their product ranges.
The torin-sifan EC range has been developed well in advance of the ErP legislation that will come into effect from January 2013. The ErP legislation (Directive 2009/125/EC) demands minimum allowable levels of efficiency for fans powered by motors with a input power of 125w or above.
The efficiency of the torin-sifan EC range has been accessed in accordance with
ISO 12759 – efficiency classification for fans. This has shown the Torin range to not only exceed the requirements of ErP 2013, plus also the more stringent levels to be introduced in 2015.
The efficiency of the EC motor in this range of products, combined with the knowledge that known future legislation requirements can be met, provides a leading solution to industry.

- A highly efficient 230V EC motor with full on-board electronics
- Mains powered input of 115 or 230V, 50 or 60Hz.
- Speed control without loss of efficiency by either 0-10Vdc or PWM input signals.
- 10Vdc output for simple potentiometer control.
- Motor rotation selection allowing for right or left hand motor position.
- Tacho output signal.
- EMC and EuP compliant.
- Motor failure indicator.
