We are very excited to announce that we have been accepted to take part in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Exeter University! This partnership will not only enable us to further develop our detailed software based aerodynamic knowledge, but also see us invest in the next generation of engineers. At Torin-Sifan we are always looking at new ways to innovate and this seemed like the natural next step for us.
The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships is a UK-wide programme that has been helping businesses for the past 40 years to improve on their knowledge, technology and skills. The project will involve three key players - Torin-Sifan, Exeter University and a recent graduate.
The graduate will be based at our headquarters, working directly with the design & engineering teams at Torin-Sifan. They will be heavily involved in bringing together the academic knowledge at Exeter University with the practical engineering challenges at Torin-Sifan and making design choices that they will substantiate with aerodynamic software tools. The transfers of knowledge between the University team and the business via the graduate, is the key to a successful Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
We pride ourselves on the ability to provide custom designs to suit bespoke applications and with this partnership we will be equipped with further tools and knowledge to provide more bespoke options. We have a very strong level of customer interaction and produce a large number of bespoke solutions for new or existing customers in a relatively short time frame. By taking part in the KTP we will be able to turnaround customer-driven projects in a much shorter time frame and improve on our overall product performance.
We are very excited to begin the Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Exeter University and welcoming a new graduate to the team. By investing in the next generation, we will be able to embed new capabilities and expertise within our business to better serve our new and existing customers. We look forward to what the future may bring.
